J. Paul Fuentes, DDS, DABP
For 4 decades, J. Paul Fuentes, DDS, DABP, who leads a private dental practice in Arcadia, California, has been practicing, growing, and sharing his knowledge of periodontics. He attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry in 1981. He also completed a certificate in periodontics in 1988 at Loma Linda School of Dentistry, California. Dr. Fuentes is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists.
As a periodontal surgical specialist, Dr. Fuentes works with patients to manage their dental health and maintain their bright, beautiful smiles. Along with his staff, he resolves various problems that affect the mouth, teeth, and gums. Dr. Fuentes’ patients enjoy cutting-edge technology and advanced dental procedures at his practice, including bone and gum grafts, implants, and even laser therapy.
Dr. Fuentes teaches dentistry at Loma Linda School of Dentistry and is affiliated with a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association.
Andrew Peterson, DMD, MS
Andrew Peterson, DMD, MS, is a periodontal surgeon serving patients at Arcadia Perio in Arcadia, California.
Dr. Peterson received his Bachelor of Arts in biology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, in 2009. Subsequently, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland in 2013 and 2017, respectively.
He practiced in the greater Portland area until 2019, at which time he accepted an adjunct teaching position at Loma Linda University in the School of Graduate Periodontics. It was his affiliation with Loma Linda that led him to begin collaborating with Dr. J. Paul Fuentes, another adjunct professor.
Dr. Peterson is board-certified and enjoys lecturing and teaching. He is experienced in a wide variety of periodontal regenerative therapies and implantology. He is also a certified LANAP® (laser-assisted new attachment procedure) clinician.
In his spare time, Dr. Peterson enjoys golfing, hiking, biking, and spending time with his son, Luke.
